Win a Back-to-school Shopping Spree with MPG and Sears

Media Contacts (“MC”), a global interactive media network, and the leading teenage social networking site Piczo created a virtual partnership that delivered a new interactive shopping experience with Sears Roebuck and Company to Piczo members during back-to-school timeframe.

Running since early August, the E-Me interactive campaign invited Piczo members to interact and create personalized avatars and a chance to enter an online sweepstakes making them eligible to win a $2,000 shopping spree at Sears.

"We're delighted with the results of the E-Me interactive campaign that gave our members a really fun back-to-school experience," said Derek Rudd, Vice President of Advertising at Piczo. "Within the first few weeks a multitude of members took the avatars and created their own websites from the campaign and encourage each other to join.”

According to Derek, the campaign responded well to Piczo members based on comments posted on the Sears characters, CeeCee and Rick with over 300 Piczo friends whom a few of which built similar profiles with avatars and Sears content given with the campaign.

After creating a personalized avatar, visitors to the campaign were able to dress it in a wide selection of Sears apparel and shoes, and save the selections in his or her closet. Parents had an incentive to be involved when E-Me and closet items were printed allowing them to know which clothing items their children wanted, but also receiving a 10 percent discount on those items.

Other elements of the site included an E-Me fashion show where tweens submitted outfits that were rated by others and a variety of interactive elements that allowed the avatars to dance, flip burgers and sing among other activities. For more information, see http://www.piczo.com.
