Hundreds will gather for the first GRAVITY Event in Providence, RI
Gravity, by definition, is the force of attraction between all objects that tends to pull them toward one another. That definition aptly describes the magnitude, and significance, of this three-day event. Gravity is not a trade show, nor is it a seminar. What it is is a dynamic format that is intended to expand the thought process of everyone involved.
Gravity is about collaborative commerce. The intersection of top tier executives to discuss the hottest topics surrounding the network, the industry, and the future.
Gravity will be buzzing with the highest intellectual talent from across industry sectors, from all corners of North America, all joining together in a symposium style idea and knowledge sharing event. The select group of invitees is comprised of 1nservice member CEO’s, their best talent, hand-selected clients, and high-level personnel of the world’s leading technology companies.
“The concept behind Gravity is to break through the clutter of normal seminars and trade show style events and bring together like-minded people to share ideas openly. With so many executives, with varying needs, Gravity becomes an essential communication venue,” states Jo Miller, 1nservice’s Director of Partner Relations.
1nservice’s strength comes from their unique ability to collaborate inside the organization with its affiliates, as well as outwardly to our clients and manufacturers partners. Interaction is high between all parties. Through that collaborative model, they have learned from one another. Gravity is a distinctive means of bringing a larger audience together to share industry changing concepts. The select attendees individually have presented at numerous events and seminars, and are considered the tops in their fields. Among the technology providers presenting, will be; Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, American Power Conversion, Packeteer, Panduit, Intransa, Akamai, Silverback, and many more. Each bringing with them their knowledge, points of reference, and open ears to hear first hand from end-users and providers what is shaping the future of their business.
Gravity is also a means for 1nservice to reach out to other technology based organizations throughout North America to build a unified think tank approach of sharing to address top-level industry issues. For this event, 1nservice is joining forces with Rhode Island’s Tech Collective. Tech Collective is a non-profit organization driving technology growth and innovation, providing workforce development resources and community building resources and support to companies.
“Our participation in Gravity is an exciting opportunity for us as an organization, and brings incredible value to our membership. The nature of this event is perfectly aligned to our mission and the expressed needs of many of our members,” adds Kathie Shields, Tech Collective’s Director. “Our members have so many learning and sharing opportunities throughout the year available to them, but Gravity is a singular event where they can be both a presenter and a learner, an open forum, and truly collaborative event, that enhances our members knowledge base, and, builds our relationship with 1nservice,” Kathie added.
The concept was hatched during the 1nservice CEO Summit, recently held in Chicago, and has been actively supported by it’s membership. The fact that each company is bringing a number of their best clients, and senior people, to the event portrays the true nature of the organization; collaboration and sharing. The group has plans to use this model and host similar events across North America on a semiannual basis
