Museum of Nature & Science:
WHAT:
3,000+ kids and their families will learn how reptiles listen without ears, how lizards climb walls and other fascinating herpetological facts at the Museum of Nature & Science's annual 'Reptile Fest' in Fair Park this weekend.
-- In addition to lots of live snakes, lizards, turtles and other creatures, there will be tons of crafts and hands-on demonstrations suitable for all ages:
-- Slinky Snakes - Make a curly snake friend to take home!
-- Camouflage Challenge - Explore how reptiles use camouflage.

-- Displays by the Fort Worth Zoo, Dallas Herpetological Society, Turtle and Tortoise Club and Texas Parks and Wildlife.
WHO:
Watch out for paparazzi, the famous gecko from event sponsor GEICO may be roaming the park. Scaly, slithering critters will be there, too, as part of these events:
-- Lancaster herpetologist and humorist Daryl Sprout's "Snake Encounters" show brings laughter and hands-on opportunities to kids.
-- Naturalists and science educators from "Wildlife on the Move" will entertain and teach with their "Cool, Cold-Blooded Critters" and "Boas vs. Pythons" shows.
