Datatel®, Inc. today announced that the University of Wisconsin - Madison has chosen Datatel ActiveAdmissions to provide personalized communications with prospective students. The University, a PeopleSoft institution, will also work with Datatel’s Creative Services Team to introduce improved navigation, greater functionality, and a new face for its Web site.
ActiveAdmissions directly integrates with an institution’s information system, using existing data about prospective students to personalize communications with them when they visit an institution’s Web site. ActiveAdmissions also gathers information about visitors, and automatically sends back new data to refresh prospective students’ records.
“By providing a connection between admissions staff and prospective students beginning in high school, we can connect with them at an early age and provide answers to their questions continuously as their interests might change,” said Rob Seltzer, director of admissions at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
According to Seltzer, ActiveAdmissions will enable the University of Wisconsin - Madison counselors to work more closely with students and suggest the next steps in the admissions process – such as raising test scores, or providing notifications for necessary financial aid information. “We hope to maintain contact with students throughout their high school careers and show them we care about their individual growth and education,” he said.
The University of Wisconsin - Madison offers undergraduate degrees in more than 160 fields of study and graduate and doctoral degrees in over than 100 areas of study. More than 41,000 students are enrolled at Madison in medicine, agriculture, business, engineering, social sciences, and education.
