Montecito Fine Arts College of Design, the distinguished portfolio design and preparatory school, today announced the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art facility on the occasion of the school’s 30 year anniversary. The official opening will occur on September 27, 2007.

“We are excited about moving to the new college campus,” said Ed Kuckelkorn, Montecito Fine Arts College of Design President. “This move is a major milestone for us in terms of creating an infrastructure that will allow us to sustain our core mission to provide new school education for the 21st century.”
On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the new facility and to mark the 30-year anniversary, the school’s renowned faculty, students and friends have planned for various events that will take place on September 27, October 3, and October 10. The events will include Faculty Art Show, Live music, Live radio show, and an open bar. Various scholarships and prizes will also be awarded.

Montecito Fine Arts College of Design has been providing quality Design education since 1977, when Ed Kuckelkorn founded the school. Today, Montecito Fine Arts College of Design has enrollment of over 600 students in 12 programs and departments that range from courses for portfolio development to extensive 3D Animation portfolio courses. Students and Faculty of the school have received many recognitions. Recently, Design for exterior exhibit by Fei Yang was chosen for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Yang designed an elaborate interactive techno-sound and light stage that will be included in the Olympic village building project for the 2008 summer Olympic games, beating submissions from professional architectural and design firms based in centers in London, Tokyo and Paris.
