First-Time Historic Collegiate Football Rivalry Streams Over Internet

JarvisTV and VBrick Take the Lead Broadcasting “Eagles” vs. “Aggies” Contest

VBrick Systems announced today that the 79 year old football rivalry between the North Carolina Central University “Eagles” and the North Carolina A&T State University “Aggies” will be streamed live over the Internet from Greensboro Saturday, September 22. The kickoff is set for 6:30pm EDT at Aggie Stadium with a live broadcast provided by JarvisTV and VBrick Systems.

A&T leads the series, 45-28-5, which was interrupted last season for the first time in nearly 80 years. The streamed live broadcast will be provided by JarvisTV and VBrick, the world’s leader and most reliable provider of standards-based video networking solutions to educational institutions.

To view the broadcast go to: http://www.jarvistv.com/NCCU/.

Since the teams last met in 2005, NCCU has made two playoff appearances and won the 2006 Black College National Championship. The NCCU Eagles are 22-4 since 2005, while the Aggies have not won in their last 19 ball games.

For both teams, this game has attracted a great deal of local media coverage and with the increased availability of Internet access, alumni and others will now have a chance to view the play-by-play.

This broadcast follows the NCCU and St. Augustine’s game which was streamed on September 8th to 1,329 viewers from 26 States and three countries: Ireland, Dubai & Philippines.

“The excitement of college football is a huge part drawing current students and future students into the tradition of any school. The rivalry between the Eagles and the Aggies is certainly one of the great ones in the southeast. Often following the excitement that comes with these broadcasts, schools expand the application of streaming video to include graduations, lectures and guest speakers,” said Vincent Graziani, VBrick Chief Executive Officer.

“Our mission at JarvisTV is to deliver high quality athletic programming to all markets using technology that provides the highest quality possible. I think the school, the athletics program and the alumni base of both schools will see immediate benefit as streamed broadcasts become part of the culture,” stated Mike Jarvis, CEO of JarvisTV.

“We’re excited about working with VBrick and see unlimited potential generated by providing these two great schools and their students, friends and alumni access to the sports programs here at NCCU and A&T,” said Chancellor Charlie Nelms of NCCU.
