Scholarships up to $9,000 for Students in Undergraduate, Graduate Programs
DeVry University and AMVETS recently announced a new partnership to provide up to 30 new scholarships for veterans and their spouses and children. Beginning in November, the partial-tuition scholarships will be available to those who have applied for or enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs at DeVry University or its Keller Graduate School of Management.
“DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Management are proud to partner with AMVETS to offer veterans and their families a helping hand in pursuing higher education,” said David Pauldine, president of DeVry University. “A college education is often financially out of reach for many military families. Through this new scholarship, we hope to make college or post-graduate education an attainable goal.”
DeVry University’s AMVETS Scholarship is available to 10 undergraduate or graduate students each semester from November 2007 through July 2008. Recipients will receive $1,000 per semester, up to a total of $9,000 over the course of a degree program.
“AMVETS is always seeking ways to partner with colleges and universities to improve access to a quality education for veterans,” said John P. “J.P.” Brown III, AMVETS’ national commander. “We are thrilled that DeVry University and AMVETS will provide a means for students who have selflessly served their country to fulfill their academic endeavors. We remain strongly committed to supporting the efforts and aspirations of our veterans and their families.”
The AMVETS scholarships are part of the millions of dollars in scholarships awarded by DeVry University to prospective students each year.
