Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll attorneys Scott Towers, Eileen Quigley, Eric Diaz, Farah Gold, Joshua Mooney, Christopher Jones and Sandra Wintner, will present a continuing legal education seminar focusing on the essential legal needs of small businesses. The event will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at The Enterprise Center.
Ballard lawyers will provide local business owners with expert legal advice, and the opportunity to discuss legal matters and concerns. Many of the attendees will be minority and women business owners.
The Ballard participants created a manual for other volunteer attorneys and outlined several small business issues including business formation, real estate, labor and employment, intellectual property and tax issues.
The seminar is part of the fourth annual Corporate Pro Bono Day (CPBD) sponsored by Philadelphia LawWorks. Past presenters have counseled a variety of microentrepreneurs, including a clothing company, a wireless phone store, a clothing designer, a caterer, a photographer and a handbag designer. CPBD will be hosted by The Enterprise Center, a minority business incubator program located in the historic American Bandstand Building in West Philadelphia.
