Apex Capital Wins Award for Team Fundraising Donation

Apex Capital, a leading full service factor, recently won first place for team donation at the annual Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon in Fort Worth. With the support of 90 employees, Apex organized 16 teams to compete in the event raising a total of nearly $13,000, a total of $807 per team, an average of $144 per person.

Apex walked away from the event with several awards: first place for team donation; first place for team coordination; and second place for overall donation.

Apex has been an active supporter of Junior Achievement since 2004, raising money annually through various fund raisers to support economic education of children. To date, Apex has raised more than $37,000.

Dean Tetirick, Vice President at Apex Capital, said, “Apex’s money raising involvement with Junior Achievement is in addition to our classroom volunteer activities. Apex employees teaching Junior Achievement classes not only benefit the young people in our community but is rewarding to us as well. Supporting a great organization like Junior Achievement is just part of the caring culture at Apex.”

Sixteen companies within Tarrant County competed in the annual Bowl-a-Thon event. The Bowl-a-Thon is a unique opportunity that offers local businesses and organizations a chance to not only have a great time, but to raise money for Junior Achievement’s economic-education programs impacting students in grades K-12.

Sheri Pape, Education Manager for Junior Achievement, said, “Apex’s continued support of the Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon has provided an excellent example of enthusiasm and interest in their surrounding community. The hard work and effort of each participating bowler has immeasurable value when it comes to reaching the children of Tarrant County.”
