Signing Time, along with its parent company, Two Little Hands Productions, is pleased to announce its emergence on the Inc. 5000 list of the top privately held companies in the United States. In a recent article on Inc’s website, Signing Time was ranked No. 666 on Inc.’s list of the fastest growing private companies in America. The magazine also profiles Signing Time founder and star Rachel Coleman and tells her amazing personal story of how the concept of Signing Time began.
“We are very excited about our growth, and feel that our success is a direct result of the quality of our product, and the number of people who have come to benefit from it,” said Coleman.
Signing Time DVDs encourage children to learn through three methods: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Because all children have diverse learning styles and abilities, Signing Time reaches them by encouraging interaction through signing, singing, speaking, and dancing. It features Rachel Coleman, her daughter Leah (who is deaf), Leah’s cousin Alex (who can hear) and their animated pet frog Hopkins. Research shows that babies can learn to communicate through signs as early as nine months old. Additionally, those who learn to sign may experience reduced frustrations and fewer tantrums, enhanced cognitive development and increased IQ scores, increased bonding with parents, increased interest in books, and quicker development of speaking, spelling and reading skills.
